SimpleDot is designed to keep the barrier as low as possible. One sentence is enough to write, and nothing in the app pressures you to do more.
Entries are stored locally on the device. No account required, no ad tracking, no cloud connection by default. An optional subscription (Dot+, €19.99/year) adds cloud sync, multiple daily entries, app lock, and more. The free version is a complete product, not a demo.
Founder
Vivian Hammermüller noticed her days were fading. Journal apps didn't help, they made it worse. So she built SimpleDot: a privacy-first journaling app, developed solo in Flutter, launched simultaneously on iOS and Android.
